The ruins of Kilchurn Castle sit on a rocky peninsula at the north east end of Loch Awe, in Argyll and Bute, Scotland.
First constructed in the mid-15th century as the base of the Campbells of Glenorchy.
The Campbells proceeded to extend both this castle and their territory in the area over the following 150 years.
After moving their base to Taymouth Castle, Kilchurn Castle fell out of use and by 1770 was in ruins.
