The last time I took a picture of just my face and showed it to the world, I masked it with heavy filtration. I don't know what it was about being caked in soot that was collected at the bottom of an 8 story building on West 19th St in Manhattan that had not been touch in over a century, but seemed like a good opportunity for a picture like this. Maybe its another mask, maybe its a step closer to self acceptance. All I know for sure is that I am still here; and I don't need to know why.
