This was taken across the road from our home looking east.Time
It was a summer morning after a big storm was breaking up.Lighting
As I looked out our window I knew the clouds would be breaking apart rather quickly. I wanted to grab the dramatic light as much as I could!Equipment
I used a Nikon 5100 with a 35 to 70mm kit lens.Inspiration
That open field with the light just right above the fur trees was a dramatic scene. The addition of the clouds gave it the shadows that fit for me!Editing
Yes post production work was with Affinity Photo. I have a very limited ability on it so the work was done using mostly contrast, clarity, vibrance and dropping the exposure a little.In my camera bag
I primarily use the Nikon 5100 although I have stepped up from my kit lens to a Sigma lens with macro.Feedback
My advise is to trust your eyes they never stop teaching you what they see. We just have to listen to what is being seen. In a world of heavy technology sometimes sitting without a camera can be best moments for art.
