Location
This photo was taken at a local bar near where I live. The band was preparing to go on in a few minutes and the lighting person was testing the stage lighting. I was taken by the instruments and how the light was playing around them. They seem to take on their own identity!Time
It was later in the day maybe 9:00 or so.The cloud was starting to stray in. The atmosphere was building in tones of laughter and mugs of cheer.Lighting
These were all constant lights, I didn't use any extra lighting of my own.Equipment

The inspiration was the lighting!!! The instruments gave it the i identity that caught my eye. As we were all anticipating the band to start, in my vision it had already started!!Editing
Very little. I know I worked some contrast and some NIK processing but thats it. I use Affinity Photo for all of my work still a rather large learning curve for this ol' dog!In my camera bag
My main camera ic a Nikon 5100. I have upgraded to a Sigma telephoto lens 15 - 300mm.Feedback
A tough thing is to learn how to anticipate what one might find. The photos of the band turned out ok but the little things that happen before after or during the moments can be even more powerful! Getting use to not always focused that huge moment takes effort in finding the little victories!
