Waiting for the Meteor
My friends and I decided to head to Algonquin Provincial Park this weekend to take some images of the Orionid meteor shower. The past several clear nights I have spotted a couple meteors while photographing in the backyard but the ones we wait for are there. Stand on the beach talking and out of nowhere we see the trees, lake and everything go green with a crazy immediate reaction from all of us as we watch the meteor smoke trail glowing up above. I will probably make a GIF of the smoke trail from this meteor as I count over 50x 30 second frames as it slowly disappeared. What another epic experience with great friends in Algonquin Park.
