When I walked out of a building in the one-block long shopping district near my home, I found this huge truck dominating the scene before me. About two-thirds the length of the block where it was parked, it seemed an astonishing vision somehow: such a behemoth to be maneuvered through the hilly, fairly narrow streets of our city; a reflection of the food trends of the moment--local and organic; spic and span in its appearance. The ordinary seemed extraordinary.
