One of my best shots and moments in my life. Serendipitous indeed.
I was walking along the dried up river to hopefully get some good shots of the gang of elk that were about to make the crossing. I had to jump from a 4 foot rock wall to get down to the river bed. Just as I jumped and landed, about 20 feet away from me, this elk had jumped off the rock wall the same time as me. We both landed at the same time and looked at each other quickly due to us startling each other. He stood there for a solid 7 seconds, giving me enough time to snap a couple shots! Great moment in my life that will never be forgotten.
