Harbour seal at Victoria, Canada's Fisherman's Wharf waiting for tourists to purchase raw fish from a dockside fish shop. Until recently, feeding the harbour seals was not discouraged, even though feeding wildlife is supposed to be punishable by a fine. The seals have been a popular tourist draw for many years, with as many as 6-8 at a time vying for pieces of fish.

Be patient. The longer you sit quietly, the more the animals become accustomed to your presence and will go about their normal behaviour. Longer lenses let you get the shot without being too close
