Looking at photos of other photographers helping you find inspiration or explore some new places to photograph. However, once you got inspired don’t try just to copy but ask yourself what you like about that photograph and try and use the same techniques, adding your own twist.

I found this location (Point Leo Boat Club) two months ago in a post at Australian Landscape Photographers (ALP) Facebook group, and I thought I could go and explore the location a little bit more. Planning was essential, so I worked out that sunrise, as well as high tide, would be more suitable. What I thought was missing in the frame was adding a scale and depth so decided to add myself at the end of the jetty.
