Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken on Belle Isle in Detroit Michigan.

Time

This was just at daybreak as the rain was stopping.

Lighting

Daybreak with stormclouds starting to break up gave wonderful texture to this shot.

Equipment

I used a Nikon D3100 with a 17-50 f2.8 Sigma Lens with a cpl filter.

Inspiration

The Neo-Gothic structure and the lighting were great.

Editing

I converted the photo to black and white using NIK software Silver Effects Pro. After doing some minor straightening and minor color balancing.

In my camera bag

At the time I had the D3100 camera, the 17-50 f2.8, and a cpl. I also carry a Rioch 360 camera ( not used for this shot)
