A very busy Old Port in Saint-Tropez during Les Voiles de Saint-Tropez regatta in early October. Some of the larger classic yachts are on the left, with some of the modern Wally yachts on the right.
The tall wooden classic yacht mast on the left is the 1928 yacht Cambria, 41m overall length and designed by William Fife. Originally of the 23m class, she later became one of the first yachts of the J Class rule.
In the middle are the twin tall wooden masts of the 1910 classic schooner Elena, 55m overall length and designed by Nathianel Herreshoff.
To the right, the three tallest modern masts are of three recently-built Wally centos, the boats being 100ft overall length.
