Location

Stokksnes, Iceland.

Time

Late afternoon, around 30 minutes before sunset.

Lighting

Only that that mountain was barely visible behind thick cloud less than an hour before. Sometimes it pays to hang around an hope the weather changes.

Equipment

Canon 6D, Canon 17-40, Manfrotto tripod, RRS Head.

Inspiration

Only that I wanted to try something other than the typical wide angle shot of this scene, though I shot that too.

Editing

Just a small boost in contrast, clarity and vibrance in lightroom.

At the time, Canon 6D, Canon 17-40, Canon 24-105, Canon 70-200f4 IS. These days Sony A7riii, Sigma MC-11, Canon 16-35 f4, Sony 55 f1.8, Sony 85 f1.8.

Feedback

Just be aware the weather (and therefore the light) in Iceland can change dramatically very quickly. Remember to pay the small entrance fee at the visitor centre.
