Behind The Lens

Location

This picture was taken in the "Les Corts" neighborhood in Barcelona, Spain.

Time

in the night

Lighting

there were a lot of fireworks around, that was the main source of light

Equipment

Camera: Canon EOS 1100D Len: Tamron 18-200

Inspiration

Some nights during a year "the devils" take the streets and run through them burning fireworks, this is called a "Correfoc" one of the catalan traditions I liked the most when I arrived to the "Condal City"

Editing

I used lightroom to try fixing the noise caused by the ISO and fix some shadows

In my camera bag

Usually I just have my canon EOS 1100D with a tamron 18-200mm or a canon 55mm

Feedback

due to the fireworks, it is really important to protect yourself and the equipment, so, I recommend to wear a hoodie (to also protect your head) and jeans (not your favourite ones, it is possible that they get burned), for the equipment I strongly recommend use a protector for the lens cuz they could get burned (being there.. done that) and if possible some scarf or something to cover the camera body. beside safety advice, I also recommend to be brave and run with the devils, they love to have fun with the people and also they love the cameras and will allow you to take awesome pictures from them
