Wild Horses(Know locally as kiang) enjoy the grass on the banks of Tso Moriri, Ladakh.

Kiangs are a native to the Tibetan Plateau. Its current range is restricted to Ladakh in Jammu and Kashmir, plains of the Tibetan plateau and northern Nepal along the Tibetan border.


Tso(Lake) Moriri area is a wetland reverse present at an altitude of 4570 Meters. The access to the lake is hard as it is about 240 KM away from the nearest city, Leh. The Road to the lake is a mix of gravel trek and Paved Road. It usually take about 6-8 hours to reach.

In the background is the Mount Gya(altitude: 6795m), which is present at the tri-junction of Tibet, India state of Jammu-Kashmir and Himanchal Pradesh.
