Purple Mornings

The conditions were perfect this morning: a layer of fog, beautiful colours in the sky and the flowers of the heather shrubs were at the peak of blooming. Despite all this I initially struggled to find a decent composition, arriving a bit late and not knowing the location very well certainly didn't help. After frantically walking around and trying to find order in the chaos of heather flowers and trees while getting my shoes (and socks) soaked from the wet grass, I decided to make the best out of it and I settled for this scene.
