Behind The Lens

Location

As we hiked towards Ripley falls in New Hampshire, we came across this track

Time

It was a couple of hours drive for me to the Ripley falls. We reached at noon and started the hike - reached the spot about 12:30 noon. The view looked perfect for me to shoot

Lighting

It was noon and absolutely sun at the top and no shadow as you see across the path. The winding path of the train at the end added a effect of its own.

Equipment

Canon EOS T5i and standard kit lens

Inspiration

As I viewed the track and the path winding down it - I was in the middle of the track - splitting the view for a near symmetry. I crouched down to take the photo and in an instant I had the final picture in mind. The vanishing point with the track merging at the end made a perfect picture in my mind

Editing

Converted to Monochrome and HDR filter so that the shadows and gray scale was enhanced

In my camera bag

I carry my favorite Canon T5i, standard kit lens, 50-200 telephoto lens, 50 mm Prime lens and few filters

Feedback

Imagine how you would want the end picture to look like. You may need to change the perspective like I had to crouch down and lay the camera on the track to get the picture
