Location

This was taken on the Tidal Basin near the Jefferson Memorial in Washington, DC.

Time

This was taken at sunset on a spring evening.

Lighting

It was entirely by chance that I caught the sun where it was. I was out walking around the National Mall and had stopped to take photos and caught this moment.

Equipment

I was using a Minolta Maxxum 5D with an 18-55mm lens. I did not use a tripod nor a flash.

Inspiration

I don't know that any one thing inspired me to take the photo, other than it being a beautiful sunset.

Editing

I don't usually do a lot of post processing.

In my camera bag

I currently shoot a Nikon D300 with an 18-250 mm lens.

Feedback

I tend to just wander around a city and photograph whatever strikes my fancy. It is how I've gotten some of my best shots. If you like it, take a photo of it.
