Location
This photo was taken in Hawaii at Turtle Bay Resort on the North Shore, on the lanai of my hotel.Time
It was getting to be the end of the day and in Hawaii sunsets before 8pm. I was getting tired and I was laying on my bed waiting with my camera in hand looking out of my lanai onto the ocean to make sure I would not miss the sunset. At first the sunset was taking forever and I was starting to doze off an then I woke up and realized that the sun was setting and I almost lost the opportunity to catch this beautiful site. (this was my last night here before I go back to California)Lighting
Nothing specialEquipment
SONY ILCE-6000, Aperture 63/10?ISO 100?Shutter 1/125?Focal Length 550/10. I used the lanai railing to steady the camera to take the shot.Inspiration
I am so intrigued with sunsets and landscape, but mostly clouds that have emotions and movement. Hawaii has awesome sunsets to take pictures of and not have any filters on your camera to use when taking the picture.Editing
This picture was taken RAW and was straight out of the camera. I was surprised when I down loaded it to my computer and saw how the picture turned out without any processing. WOW!!!In my camera bag
I usually bring a Sony 6000 and a Nikon with their kit lens.Feedback
I am an amateur just enjoying taking pictures when I can. I don't do this for a living, I am an Assistant Administrator and Social Worker in an Alzheimer/ Dementia hospital and this is my stress relief. Practice on other sunsets and have patience. Patience is the number one key to the perfect sunset without having to post-process and always have your camera with you so that when the opportunity arises you can capture that one in a lifetime moment.
