Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken in Vermont, USA. I was working with my new macro lens..this was one of my first shots with it.

Time

This was taken mid to late afternoon.. the like was amazing that day..passing thin clouds kept is bright but filtered. Perfect light.

Lighting

Natural light..no fill flash.

Equipment

NIKON D7200 with a 85mm macro lens. Hand held..most likely an appeture of f.5 or f5.6.

Inspiration

I love macro photography and this was an amazing day to get out there and practice with my new lens. I love to shoot what real..no real way to stage nature..so I end up following the habits of the subject..in this case the bee was all over this flower. I set my focus and waited for him.

Editing

Lightroom

In my camera bag

Nikon D7200 or D810 Sigma 70-200 with 2x convertor, Nikon 50 mm 1.8, Nikon 85mm macro or Nikon 105mm macro depending on the camera..

Feedback

Be patient and prepared. Shoot small things that move in aperture priority mode if possible. Set your ISO to the light you have...know your camera.
