The Highlands Biological preserve is in Southwestern North Carolina, and is a curated preserve. There are more lizard species there than I believe anywhere else. Along some of the trails, the foundation that manages the preserve put in some nice wooden benches so people could sit and enjoy the view. This is a 'feeder' lake into their main ponds.
