I have spend the whole day in the Reserve, making it difficult to recall off hand the time of day, if not mistaken it was quite early morning.Lighting
It was an overcast day with rain from from time to time. The clouds eliminated harsh shadows, setting the mood.Equipment
I just started photography had my entry level Canon 1300D camera and Canon 100-400mm FS USM II lens, handheld.Inspiration
The Simplicity of the scene and really awesome colours the purple of the flower and the grey dull of the bird just complimented each other. Perfect NatureEditing

Be patient, know your subject, anticipate, experiment and timing goes hand in hand together. Enjoy the moment. I was lucky with this little one, was entertaining and a real model with different poses and gave me some time to adjust settings.
