This is a single shot image that shows three primary features of the of 2017 Solar Eclipse: the Photosphere, The Corona and Bailey's Beads.
I researched the path of totality and chose and then traveled to Eastern Oregon. I arrived a week early to live-scout six roads I identified on Google Earth as good prospects. I selected a good, lonely, higher elevation, clear-sky site (well away from the smoke of several regional wildfires) and set up camp to await and enjoy the Eclipse. I shot this image with a CanonD7+800mm lens on a massive video tripod that allowed me to engage in stable, high angle shooting of the eclipse. I performed tone and clarity adjustments in Lightroom. I had a ball throughout the entire process!
