Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken at my sister’s wedding at Oakley Court in 2015. It was a gorgeous Autumn Day.

Time

This is one of my favourite photos, probably because I love Autumn. After the ceremony I went for a walk around the grounds on my own. Oakley Court is too beautiful not to. I stumbled upon this tree by the river. I was first drawn to the shape of the tree trunk and it’s branches. Then I took a step back. I love the way the colour of the leaves complement the river behind and the grass. This photo was taken at around midday.

Lighting

Just glorious daylight :)

Equipment

This was shot on a SONY DSC-W215 - f/7.1 1/100 5.35mm ISO125. No other equipment was used.

Inspiration

A beautiful tree on a beautiful Autumn Day. I just love nature.

Editing

I edited this photo slightly using Photoshop. Normally landscape photos require more editing to bring out the true colours, however I didn’t really need to alter this one much. A little increase of vibrance, contrast and brightness and that was it.

In my camera bag

Well I have a camera bag and 5/6 cameras but I don’t really use it. Honestly, I just like choosing a camera, taking it for a walk and experimenting. I don’t think I’ll ever stop learning and trying out new things and settings :)

Feedback

Patience. Don’t rush. Breathe. Stay calm. Enjoy nature. Pay attention to the little things. Appreciate :)
