Race car built by EMF in 1909. EMF built cars for only a couple years (1908-192). Car manufacturers have always build race cars to show the capabilities of their passenger cars. The old adage: Win on Sunday, sell on Monday still holds true today. Notice the leather straps holding the engine cover in place. Also, the crank used to start the engine. This image was taken at the Gilmore Car Museum during Red Barn Spectacular gathering.
