A photographer and blogger I greatly admire mentioned a thought on the flower Fireweed, how they are the souls of dead trees. I found it a beautiful sentiment and maybe it could be so. We have this place behind our barn that is a kind of resting ground for tree logs, and it is overrun by a sea of fireweed.
