Location
I took this photo of the Banana Spider, my not be the correct name, while he hung in it's giant web, big enough to maybe catch small birds. While I was staying in an RV campground in Starke, Florida. A very common spider here in Florida, but this one was really large.Time
I took this photo on Saturday August 12th, 2017 at 7:37pm in the evening, but I had walked by him many times admiring how large he was getting.Lighting
Natural light with the white background of a travel trailer, so he showed up really good.Equipment
I shot this hand held, using a Nikon D7100 camera, with a Sigma 70-200mm f/2.8 lens, pre OS version. Shot at f/8, 1/80 sec, ISO 6400, with a +0.3 step, at 200mm.Inspiration
Because it was there.Editing
Only color corrections. In my camera bag
I sold my Nikon D200 and my Nikon D7100, and also sold that Sigma 70-200mm f/2.8 lens and my Sigma 150-500mm lens. I kept my Nikon D300, but I also bought a new Nikon D750 fx camera, the Nikon 24-120mm f/4 fx lens, the Nikon 200-500mm f/5.6 fx lens, and the Nikon 50mm f/1.4 fx lens. I also have the Nikon 60mm f/2.8 micro fx lens, and the Nikon 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6 fx lens. For the D300, I have the Nikon 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6 DX lens, the Nikon 35mm f/1.8 DX lens, the Tokina 11-16mm f/2.8 DX lens, and the older non OS version Sigma 50-150mm f/2.8 DX lens. I have two Bogan tripods with one set up with a gimble head for wildlife and sports shooting, and two Bogan monopods.Feedback
