As an artist, a storyteller, a photographer, I believe it is important to create work that is authentic and true to yourself, work that is deeply meaningful and which resonates with your own retrospective thoughts, feelings and individual life experiences that you have personally gone through.

And so when I found out I was going to be a Dad, I wanted to create an image that reflected both my excitement and anticipation, but which also hinted at my own personal fears and insecurities of becoming a Dad too. For nearly my entire life I have lived in the fantasy world of my own dreams of make believe and pretend, all the while my friends and family telling me that I needed to wake up and come back to reality. Perhaps having a baby will force me to find my place within the real world, and perhaps not.

Perhaps when she arrives, she will only inspire me to become even more adventurous, ambitious and audacious than I already am. Perhaps she will be the one to help me discover the very thing that I have been chasing after for all these years. Either way, my whole world is about to change.
