Location
I took a photo during a trip to Brazil. This shot is taken in Anapolis, at the home of my very distant family. It is a modest place..."Felek" is the name I gave this dog because I am from Poland and it is easy for me to pronounce this word. I don't know Portuguese well and I still forgot how to pronounce his name in their native language.Time
I took this picture spontaneously in August 2017, I don't remember what time it was because it was free time for me to rest so I didn't focus on the hour.Lighting
The light in this photo is natural. The place where the dog is located is fenced. The light was coming in at such an angle that the grayscale is clearly visible, this scene is not very contrasting.Equipment
Nikon D7100 + Nikkor kit 18-105mm f/3.5-5.6 AF-S DX VRInspiration
People who live in that place do not have easy conditions, but they try very hard to live with dignity. They are nothing different from rich people. They have so much love and goodness in them. They even have a lovely pet that they adopted from the street. Maybe this dog is not as well-groomed as it should look, but he is very happy that anyone looks after him.Editing

If you want to get the feeling of being close to the object you are photographing sometimes, it is worth trying to take a picture from the level of the dog's eyes, very low. I sometimes lay down on the ground. Instead of using a long focal length, you can use, for example, 18mm and approach as close to the subject as possible. Another advice - sometimes it is not worth focusing only on the technique, but on the content of the photo. This approach is not technically good, I know it, but it carries a story that I wanted to tell with an imperfect picture of reality.
