A digital painting created in Lightroom from an original photo taken at Balneario Monserrate, often referred to simply as Luquillo Beach, is a long crescent of fine sand, with plenty of mature palm trees for shade, and El Yunque National Forest in the background. Due to a fringing reef, there are no waves to speak of, so it's a perfect beach for young kids. The beach has some food kiosks, restrooms, changing rooms, showers, and lifeguards. There is a small fee to park in the gated parking area.
By far this is one of the nicest beaches I have been to. This shot was taken in the middle of the day on a Tuesday in May, 85 degrees around 12:30PM, not a soul in sight. This is one of my favorite pictures and it's looks incredible on canvas... Just look at the reflection in the water.. I definitely need to visit this beach again.
