After arriving in Australia the day before, I convinced some people I had met the day before to go and watch the sunrise at Mooloolaba Beach. We took an Uber early in the morning and got down to the beach. Kit and Taylor, the two girls in the picture, climbed on top of some rocks down by the beach, and I saw the perfect moment and captured it forever. Everything about the image was perfect to me. It was completely unplanned and unscripted. Neither of them had even realized that I had captured a shot of them. Their bodies are nearly silhouetted, a style which I really enjoy. I enjoy portrait photography, but most of my shots are scripted. This is more abstract and is expanding my reach in photography. I'm hoping to gain more confidence in this style of photography. This is a great start for me.
