This is a great shot!

Behind The Lens

Location

I took the photo in a nature sanctuary in Himmelsmoor, near Quickborn in North Germany. They used to get peat there and transport it with the railway

Time

I was there late afternoon in April 2017

Lighting

As it was April, it gets dark quite early in Germany so for nature shots it's always good to catch the golden hour

Equipment

Using a Canon eos 5d Mark III with a Canon EF 24-105 lense. To me, the best lense of all. Multi functional for all occasions

Inspiration

I love nature and those rail tracks that are so bent and crooked. Nothing needs to be perfect

Editing

I used Lightroom to adjust light and contrast a I only take photos in raw formatting

In my camera bag

Always take a spare battery, a tripod and a remote shutter release. I have a little bag with all those things in it. As it gets dark early I need the tripod and it's not much to carry

Feedback

Just browse through Google maps for interesting places and look at the photos. (I also posted hundreds of pictures there) That's how I get inspired
