I had just purchased my first Canon camera, a Sx30is and was eager to try it out. Not normally an early riser, I was anticipating what i could shoot with my Canon and this purple finch had perched on a tree limb that I had set up with some bird feeders and the light was reflected off his red feathering as he was looking towards the early sun. Actually taken through my picture window.
