I think this is much better in Black & White over the color version. Great shot and composition. Very wistful in an almost fairy like setting.

Location
I took this photo while out for a walk in a wooded area near my house. As we were walking, we noticed a densely wooded path that branched off from the main trail and disappeared into the distance. I had her stand in the middle of the path, and pose.Time
This was shot in mid-afternoon. The heavily wooded path had a nice canopy of leaves over it which created some great contrasts and shadows for the backdrop.Lighting
I love shooting outdoors most of all, because the lighting is always a variable. When the lighting is always changing, new and different shots become available. When I am shooting outside in natural light, I am constantly playing off of the available light, changing shadows, etc.Equipment
I shot this with my Canon EOS Rebel T5, 18-55mm lens.Inspiration
A walk in the woods will almost always inspire something in me. My beautiful model was a great sport about trying something very sensual, and you can really tell from the image that the atmosphere was inspirational to us both.Editing
I try to do very little post-processing, just because I love the look and feel of an image that stands on its own. In this case I enhanced the contrast to accentuate the shadows and amazing lighting in the woods, and also make my model stand out from the backdrop. In my camera bag
I am a believer in the idea that the best photos present themselves when you least expect them. And so in my bag I keep my Rebel T5, my 18-55mm lens, and my 55-250mm lens. Other than that, I try to tailor my bag's contents for the various places I expect to shoot.Feedback
Get lost in your environment for a while. Let the feeling of a place inspire you and move you to capture the essence of that feeling. Taking photos is more than just capturing an image of something or someone. For me it is a treasure hunt. Every single day you see something that makes you feel a certain way, or strikes you. Capture that. Those things are treasures that last a lifetime.
