In the Swiss Alps you can take a cable car to Birg summit (8783 feet). It is the last stop were you change cable cars on the way to the Schilthorn summit (9444 ft.). But it is worth stopping at Birg to take the "Thrill Walk", a series of paved, chain-link, and glass-floor walkways suspended from the side of the mountain.

The chain-link tunnel shown here is especially fun. As you crawl through it, you are looking down at the clouds and valley floor far below.
