Location
This photo was taken in my backyard in my neighborhood in Metro Atlanta area. It was pretty rare thing to see this type of bird around in my neighborhoodTime
I don't know what exactly time or day. I know it was taken during the day time on the beginning of that evening.Lighting
The lighting is natural with warmth and beautiful colors. When you look at this photo, it is like looking at a classical painting or listening to classical music. The light also gives that storytelling, beautiful mood to the photo. I am so proud of my work!Equipment
The equipment I used was Nikon D70's with a non-VR 70-300mm lens with no tripod and no flash.Inspiration
As a nature lover, I love taking pictures of nature, landscapes, and wildlife! While I was outdoors taking photos of subjects in my backyard, suddenly I saw this beautiful Cedar Waxwing standing on my pear tree! Luckily, I had my camera with me! I went up to the bird and took photos of it in different angles! This bird didn't get scared. It was being mellow. There were other Cedar Waxwings on that tree, but they were on top of the tree but not this bird. Out of all the photos, this image stood out so well. The bird not only looked so beautiful but so proud! A very proud beautiful bird! It was one of my wonderful experiences to take this photo of this beautiful creature.Editing
I did a little simple editing on Photoshop. Nothing but basic things like contrast adjustments, a little boost of colors, and other basic editing. In my camera bag
My Nikon D70's or D7000, 70-300mm or 55-300mm lens, Sigma 18-50mm lens, Tokina 12-24mm lens, Nikon 50mm prime lens, Nikon 18-70mm and my Nikon 18-105mm lens. I also have Cokin ND filters and Hoya and Tiffen filters for landscape and nature photography. I have three dust blowers ( one of them has a soft brush). Even I have a microfiber cloth, optic cleaning fluid, lint-free ultra soft non-abrasive wipes, my sensor cleaning swaps, and Samsung smartphone with a built-in camera.Feedback
Always be prepare to capture of a beautiful moment. Also always appreciate nature! Nature is part of life on this planet, and we have to appreciate it! Mother Nature created so much beauty on this planet that no photographer can miss out. When you take a beautiful capture, be proud of yourself, be proud of your work, and always credit yourself. Don't credit your equipment! Lastly, always take passion in what you do in your photography or any art form.
