I took this photo at my then job at a hunter jumper barn on Cape Cod in Massachusetts.Time
This was taken about 9:30 in the morning. I saw him hanging around that side of the paddock so I kept an eye out hoping he’d come over towards the flowers and stick his head over the fence.Lighting
Since this was in the morning I just used the natural lighting that the sun provided.Equipment
I just used my iPhone as that’s all I had with me at the time as I was working.Inspiration

I just did a little editing on my iPhone to pop the colors.In my camera bag
If I’m out with my Nikon I have lens cloths, extra batteries, notebook, fingerless gloves for the winter and much more. But since i was at work it was just my iPhone in my pocket with some chapstick.Feedback
Have patience. I took a series of shots as he was moving around sniffing the flowers. He settled for just the right amount of time to get that arch and curve in his neck.
