You may remember my previous shot from this location with a starry sky. However I had to wait for several hours for the sky to clear up and the stars to become visible. During that time my camera was running and constantly shot exposures of the clouds passing by. I merged several exposures in PS to get an even more streaky look of the sky. The orange tone on the horizon illuminating the clouds is not the setting sun but light pollution from behind the mountains. I like how this light pollution together with some of the city lights in the foreground complements the blue tones of the night!
