The Florida Tropical House is part of the Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore Century of Progress Architectural District on Lake Michigan's south shore. It was part of the Homes of Tomorrow exhibit at the 1933 World's Fair in Chicago, and along with five other homes that were carried by barge to the then undeveloped community of Beverly Shores. It was to serve as an inducement for real estate development and eventually came under the management of the National Park Service. This is an artistic rendering of the image.
