Joshua Tree is a favorite for anyone wanting to shoot the night sky. This past spring my brother and I set out to get the Milky Way rising over the famous Arch Rock. Unfortunately when we arrive there we're about 6 other photographers there. We didn't want to get in the way and get the same old shot as everyone else so we headed out and I found a lonely little Joshua Tree. It lined up perfectly with the Milky Way so I busted out my 50 mm and planned on taking a few shots to blend together. After I saw the first with a very shallow depth of field I was stoked and left it as is.
