Delta Junction is located in Alaska's fertile Tanana Valley. Long summer days allow for an extended growing season, and the area is dotted with farms. I love to drive the backroads and look for new places to shoot pictures. During the summer, huge cumulus clouds form, adding depth and interest to landscapes. This was shot on one of those backroads. The land on both sides of this long gravel road have been cleared for farming, though they are currently unplanted.
