Once my Mom learned that she had a Cancer diagnosis, as we would spend time together, she would get nostalgic. Talk of beautiful old memories, go through old photos that she wanted to give me and from time to time she would give me one of her favorite pieces of glassware that she and Dad had collected over the years. I already had the Pink Depression Glass Canape Dessert Serving Tray which I've always loved, but this particular day she decided to give me one of her Antique Cookie Jars. I had always loved this one with it's beautiful Roses design. As soon as I purchase some Silvo - I will polish the Silver on it and it will look just right. I have not polished it since she gave it to me - not really sure why.......

Gail, what a beautiful story, you probably wanted to preserve the precious moment that you mother gave you this lovely biscuit barrel, you must have had a very special relationship with your mum, this in itself is something very special a memory to be treasured :-)
