This image was taken from the North shore of Lake Union, at Gas Works Park, in Seattle Washington, USATime
I took this photo shorthly after sunset, as the Seattle skyline, began to light up. It was taken during the month of June, probably at about 9:30 PM.Lighting
The picture was taken in natural lightEquipment
I use a Sony a7r2, with a 24-70 mm f/2.8 lens, at 52 mm. ISO100 @ f/20, for 15 sec. And yes, I had to get my tripod, out of the trunkInspiration
I love to take pictures of the Seattle Skyline. I live in the city of Seattle, close to Gas Works Park, it was beautiful warm June night. It just made sense to me, to head down to the park and take a few long exposure of the city skyline.Editing
I used a product named Aurora HDR 2017. I alway try to keep the amount processing to a minimum. In my camera bag
I use a Sony a7r2. I view myself as a landscape photographer, so my bag is always packed with either a 10 mm, or a 15 mm Voightlander lens, and a Zeiss Loxia 21 mm. I also use a 40 mm f/1.2 Voigtlander Nokton as a standard lens. It preforms well in low light. I always carry 52 mm, and 58 mm ND filters, in both 3 and 6 stops. Sometimes, I swap out the 40 mm lens, with a 35 mm and a 50 mm Zeiss Loxia. My hope is that someday, Zeiss will release a Loxia 105 mmFeedback
I always seem to respond to natural light. Which means, I've been known to drive through the night, in order to photograph a sunrise 200 miles away. Be prepared... I've been known to leave behind my SD card in the reader... Why do I leave my tripod in the truck of my car? Take a guess? Because, I've left it behind... Preparation! We all seek light, but you have to prepared to capture it
