I met Patrick at the park. His challenges are many, but he has a kind nature. He's been out in the weather for the last 15 years.Patrick allowed me to take his picture and I bought him a cheese burger. I hope that the weather hasn't claimed him, as I haven't seen him at the park, in some time.

Behind The Lens

Location
This is a portrait of Patrick, a homeless man, who has lived for many years on the streets of Seattle.
Time
The photo was taken about an hour prior to sunset
Lighting
The image was taken in natural light.
Equipment
The camera that I use is a Sony a7r2. The lens was a Sony 55mm f/1.8
Inspiration
I've long wanted to shoot images of the homeless, images that accentuate their humanity.
Editing
I used a Skylum product, Aurora HDR 2017
In my camera bag
It depends on what I'm trying to do and where, or what I'm photographing. I own a Sony a7r2. I prefer shooting with either, Zeiss, or Voigtlander manual lenses. I also carry a variety 52mm and 58mm of CPL and ND filters in both 3 and 6 stops.
Feedback
My advice is simple... Preparation. By being prepared for the moment, where everything falls into place and you capture the image.
