Location
This was taken at Dreamworld on the Gold Coast Queensland AustraliaTime
early afternoon I deliberately arrived well before the public show was due to commence & was fortunate enough to find a position close enough to the viewing window to be able to capture the shot with no reflections from the glass thankfully there weren't any sticky handprints left on the glassLighting
only available light no artificial lightEquipment
Camera used on the day was a Canon 600D with a 70 200 lens f5.6Inspiration
Since childhood I have had a great love for the big cats.I went to Dreamworld specifically to photograph these magnificent creaturesEditing
The image is as it was captured there has been no post-processingIn my camera bag
at the time of taking this shot my kit was very basic it consisted of the Canon 600D body a 70-200 f5.6 & an 18-55 since then the 600D has taken a back seat to the CanonEOS 5d MK2 &MK4 bodies & numerous lenses ranging from 50ml up to 600 including macro & wide angle lenses so it depends entirely on what I am shooting what I have with me however there is always a camera with me wherever I go and usually I have the 70- 200 attached I like using it because it is just such a versatile lensFeedback
Get to where you need to be well before to many others get there if your shooting in zoos or theme parks set your gear up so as your ready to grab the image you are seeking an opportunity missed is one lost forever
