Location
This image was taken at La-perouse an outer suburb of Sydney Australia on the shores of Botany Bay the bridge leads to what was a fort then later a home for returned service men & is now a museumTime
I captured this as the sun was setting over the bay the thing I like about the vantage point I was using is that you can get images of both sunrise & sunset over water from the same spotLighting
I captured this image using only available natural light which is why I like to shoot as the sun is setting & the light is becoming softerEquipment
Shot on a Canon 600D using a Tamron 28-200 f3.8-5.8 lensInspiration
This bridge is five minutes from my childhood home I spent a great deal of time on or in the waters under it so it holds great memories for meEditing
No post processing it is as it was shotIn my camera bag
At the time I captured this image my kit was very basic a canon 600d body & the 28-200 lens I have since updated to Canon 5D mk2 purchased 2nd hand & more recently a Canon 5D mk4 along the way I have accumulated quite a collection of lenses which include macro, wide angle & zoom lensesFeedback
Look for opportunities wherever you are.if you’re looking for a particular shot be at your chosen location before the type of light you want to shoot in occurs. If you plan to use artificial lighting be sure all your batteries, power packs etc are fully charged & if possible carry spares
