Skálanes Nature and Heritage Centre is a 1250 hectare nature reserve situated on a peninsula 17km east of Seyðisfjörður, East Iceland. It's accessible only hiking. In June the wild area it's fully covered by lupin flowers, and the mountains seem to be blue from afar.
