After crossing the border from Israel to Jordan I was paralysed and sitting in my hostel processing my cultural shock. Amman is so different from any kind of city I have visited so far. Very grey, no green, noisy and chaotic. But I did not go on a trip to get stuck in my hostel. Luckily, I faced my fear, asked at the reception what to see in one evening in this city. The receptionist recommended me the nearby citadel to overlook the whole city. He even explained me how to secretly sneak in, since the entrance was already closed. I'm happy I had the opportunity to explore the citadel and enjoy a relaxed walk in the afternoon sun.
