Taken on a beautiful weekend trip to Gerlos Austria. Weather was amazing and i got lucky taking this shot as some people were climbing on the rocks right before the waterfall which give the whole thing a lot of scale :)

Congrats on your challenge win! Love the perspective and the feel of the mist from the waterfall!

Location
The picture was taken at the bottom of Krimml Waterfalls in Austria and I had quite a bit of luck as some people were climbing the rocks right before the waterfall and give it a lot of scale.Time
The shot was taken mid day in the bright sun. Usually not the preferred conditions but for this shot they were perfect as they bring out the mist of the waterfall and also create some amazing sun rays within it.Lighting
Like i said above the sun was pretty harsh at the time i took the photo. Luckily this only benefits this shot.Equipment
This was shot handheld with a Sony Alpha A6000 and the small 16-50 PZ kit lens as it was the only lens i had at that time. Still turned out really well.Inspiration
The scale, ruggedness and great textures of the waterfall. I´m also pretty happy with the composition, as i was able to use the trees and bushes surrounding the walkway as a frame.Editing
I did basic and lens corrections in Lightroom, then took it to Aurora HDR to apply some mild HDR magic (mainly to bring out the textures and contrasty parts a bit more), then took it back to Lightroom for final touches. In my camera bag
As of now i still carry my trusty Sony A6000 and 3 lenses almost all of the time. My Sony 18-105 F4 G as you can´t beat the versatility of this lens. Especially at the price point it´s going for. A Samyang (Rokinon) 12mm F2.0 as i love ultra wides and it´s also one of the best lenses to use for astrophotography. And last but not least an old Canon FD 50mm F1.4 (adapted) as this is so much fun to use and still creates some stunning pictures. All of that is packed in a Peak Design Sling along with a bunch of ND filters, micro fiber cloth and my trusty Sirui travel tripod which fits perfectly under the Slings straps.Feedback
Explore. Dream. Discover. Really, just go out and shoot. Always bring your camera and experiment.Try different compositions.Try different lenses and focal lengths. Be creative and take your time. For this shot i waited almost 15 minutes until the 2 people in the middle of the frame lined up perfectly (they were just sitting and standing around a long time). Try to get the shot right in camera and think about post processing later. Post processing can´t fix bad composition.
