Photographed this mother alligator December 9, 2016, but didn't realize she had a clutch of babies until I processed the photos a week later. When I returned a couple of weeks ago, I counted 26 young nearby. This one crawled out of the water and onto her back while I was watching.

I love the Rocky Mountain scenery. On an autumn day in the mountains, there seems to be a painting around every corner.

This Kestrel can be found on this dead tree on a regular basis. The Kingfisher landed on a lower branch. The Kestrel wasn't amused.

This male Painted Bunting was singing his heart out when I spotted him on a high line wire. He was very patient and gave me time to get a decent shot.

I was on the way to work this morning and saw this in the rear view mirror. I had to stop on the tollway to get it, but I couldn't resist.

This proud male turkey was showing off to the females. The dance was amazingly beautiful. As he turned in the light, flashing colors were cool.

This young woodpecker flew into position while I was only about 30 feet away. You couldn't ask for better lighting. Some days you get a shot hand

Occasionally, in among the Red-winged Blackbirds, is this beautiful Yellow-headed Blackbird. Seen at Hagerman NWR at lake Texoma Texas.
