The volcanic island of Santorini. Steeped in history and one of the biggest eruptions ever. This is my second time visiting this island, the last time was six years ago. It's basically a huge caldera with villages perched on the rim all around the crater. The village in this image is Pergos. When I was looking for a composition I stumbled upon this volcanic rock with a hole through the centre and decided this would be a nice way to frame the scene.
